Local Grief Care Groups

There are other excellent sources of support in our community, including:

  • Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief offers several grief support groups during the year led by qualified professionals, including groups for individuals and families, and groups for children and teens during the summer. For more information, call 901-861-5656.

  • Central Church in Collierville provides support groups for those who are grieving the loss of a significant person in their lives. For more information, contact pastoral counseling, 901-255-8115.

  • Compassionate Friends provides support for parents who have lost a child. Compassionate friends meets the 1st Thursday, 7:00-9:00 p.m., St. Louis Catholic Church. For more information, contact Sue Ann Duffy, 901-276-4134.

Local Healing Hearts Groups


For those grieving a death by suicide:
  • The Southaven group meets on the first Tuesday of each month, at the M.R. Davis Public Library located at 8554 Northwest Dr. in Southaven, Ms from 6:30-8:00 p.m. For more information call 662-832-5574 or email.

  • The Memphis group meets on the third Thursday of each month, at White Station church of Christ at 1106 Colonial Road, Memphis, TN  38117, 6:30-8:00 p. m. Call 901-743-4701 for additional information.

  • The Oxford group meets once per month, on the third Thursday of each month, at the Oxford Public Library, 401 Bramlett, Oxford, MS  38655, 6:30-8:00 p.m.  Call 662-832-5574 for additional information.

Victims to Victory

A faith-based organization that provides services to crime victims, including victims of homicide. Support groups meet twice a week. Kitty Lawson, PhD, director, 901-274-6828.
